"I am proud to have Sergio Ramos as our captain"

Sergio Busquets spoke to the press ahead of Spain's Euro 2020 qualifying match tomorrow. He highlighted Sergio Ramos' work as Spain' captain, saying he is "proud to have him as captain."
The Catalan referred to the record set by the current Real Madrid and Spain captain against Romania: "It speaks volumes about Sergio Ramos' trajectory. He is one of the best in the world. He has been for many years and he will continue being so. He started very young in the national team and has been important for all the coaches."
In addition, Busquets confessed that Spain lost control to Romania. "We were dominating after the 0-2 draw and then, with the goal he scored, between euphoria and the public, it's easy to get carried away with emotions. We failed to close it and then came the expulsion," he added.
But, above all, the sensations were good and Busquets believes that 'La Roja' is "on the right track". "We need to work together and a little more time," he said.
When asked about their next rivals, the Faroe Islands, Sergio Busquets made sure to point out that the rivals "are not a joke to the national team. We know we are playing for the three points. We want to go for it, but it has to be a step by step mission".
The Barcelona player also spoke about the special connection between Gijon, the location for Spain's next game, and his current club: "Villa, Quini, Abelardo, Luis Enrique..., there are so many Sporting players who have played for Barça that there is an unavoidable special connection."
He also spoke about his potential retirement from the national team, stating "it depends on the moment and fitness I find myself in. I am coming into a certain age now, I have to take it year by year, it will depend on how I feel".
